Cambridge for Palestine cooperation with Tatreez Collective
On a sunny afternoon at the Cambridge for Palestine Encampment, we hosted a fun and laid-back Tatreez workshop. It was all about celebrating Palestinian embroidery and bringing people together.
We kicked things off with a quick intro to Tatreez, its history, and why it’s so important to Palestinian culture. Everyone was really into the intricate patterns and the stories behind them. Then, we all got to work on our own pieces, with the idea of combining them into one big, beautiful artwork.
The vibe was super friendly and creative. People were chatting, sharing stories, and enjoying the peaceful rhythm of stitching. We had the pleasure of spending time with the amazing people who have been standing strong for over two months, rain or shine, for Palestine.
By the end of the session, everyone had a great time and learned to appreciate Tatreez. It was awesome to see how something as simple as embroidery could bring us all together and help us connect with Palestinian heritage.
